At DK Connemara Oysters near Clifden, you’ll tour a working farm with Sinead or David, learn how oysters grow from seed to plate, see the team grading and packing, then taste five or six oysters. You can shuck one yourself, with Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey nearby.

From Leenane, meet a Connemara sheep farmer and watch a trained dog work a flock. You may feed lambs, see summer shearing, try cutting turf with a slean, and walk the farm for wide mountain views. The English tour lasts 1.5 hours and costs $27 per person.

At Clonfert Farm in County Kildare, you can spend about three hours meeting donkeys, sheep, goats, monkeys, meerkats, and Arctic foxes. Meet a marine biologist-led team at Mungo Murphy’s Seaweed Co. in Ballintleva for a coastal foraging walk, abalone farm visit, and tasting. You’ll learn which seaweeds and herbs are edible, shuck your own abalone, sample sashimi and cooked abalone, and finish with seaweed cookies and tea or coffee.
